First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme
The First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme can help you save on stamp duty in addition to the First Homeowner Grant. You may be eligible for a reduced rate or stamp duty exemption even if you don’t qualify for the first homeowners or renovation grant. For new or existing homes under $650,000, you can apply for a full exemption, and up to $800,000, you can apply for concessional stamp duty. When purchasing vacant land, you won’t pay transfer duty if the land value is less than $350,000, and up to $450,000, you will receive a concessional rate.
